When I came to Texas in 2010, I knew that I wanted to make a difference. I knew I wanted a new start/new profession. Social work just made sense. I really had no idea how many settings social workers can be apart of or the tremendous impact that can be made. I made the right choice! I have worked in special education, administration, re-entry and recidivism reduction, hospital and medical clinic settings and enjoyed every minute! The diverse work experience that I have grown from is something that i hope will benefit you as you develop into the clinician you look to become.

I have more than 10 years of teaching experience at the college level (Sociology and Social Work) which I am sure will come in handy as we discuss preparing to take the examination for you credential. 

One thing that has led me is the drive for social justice, equity and knowledge. As you continue your journey, with myself or another of my colleagues, here is a final thought that I wan to share:​
